Max the Elf! [5.16]

UPDATE 7 APRIL 2026: Max the Elf is back on ITCH! Hello! Welcome to our itch page for "Max the Elf ♂"! Max the Elf is too big to load in the browser on Itch. Please check the downloads instead! The version available here on itch.io is v5.16. We used to update the game on itch with new content occasionally, but in all seriousness, it is still a demo! Now that the game is getting closer and closer to completion, we want to slowly start trying to get the game on Steam. This means we will probably stop releasing new updates for Max the Elf on itch.io. I still work very hard on this game, and I release updates constantly on Patreon — most likely all the way until the game is finished! The newest version on Patreon is v6.03, which includes the start of level 6 with 3 new enemies. The full release will have level 6 complete, with a final fight after that. We also plan to include hard-mode, infinite-mode, a monster book, and toy support. I understand it sucks to not get free updates here on itch anymore, but please don't pirate the game from shady websites. NOTE FOR MOBILE/ANDROID USERS: As you know, we struggle a lot with getting the mobile version properly working with each new update. Every time the game gets bigger, there seem to be more and more problems on mobile. So the playable version for Android is currently v5.02. We will stop releasing mobile updates until the game is fully completed and ready for one big proper effort to convert the game to mobile.
