In the city of Aethelgard, you are the Assessor. A mid-level bureaucrat with the power to ruin lives or look the other way. Armed with nothing but a ledger, a silver badge and a pendulum that detects the world's newly awakened, illegal magic, you walk the line between duty and desire.
Your routine assessments end up dragging you into a dangerous web of criminal syndicates, forbidden magic and powerful women who know exactly how to make a man compromise.
This is a story about a tired, corruptible man trying to survive a harsh world.
Choose your path
In The Assessor’s Ledger, every line you write in the ledger can save a life or condemn someone to imprisonment. Who will you be when the ink dries?
The Protective Tyrant: You enforce cruel Council rules because you genuinely believe the alternative is worse for the citizens.
The Secret Rebel: You sabotage the system, risking your own life and drawing the eyes of the Council Guards to spare others.
The Cold Bureaucrat: You don't care about the regime or the people; you follow protocol simply because it is efficient and keeps you safe.
The Corrupt Assessor: You break rules and fudge ledger lines for your own chaotic reasons, spite, or personal gain.
